Learn a song, every day!

I've decided to do something useful, and also so that my skills don't slip while I'm here.

I've noticed that my 'ear' in listening to music has gradually taken a turn for the worse, also because of the lack of my playing the piano regularly. So I have decided to start learning one new song every day. Obviously not easy pop songs, but harder stuff, jazz or funk stuff.

So today I started with Jamiroquai - Virtual Insanity. I know Chong plays it all the time but I never bothered to ask him how to play it. It's a cool song, I've been listening to a lot more funk-type music lately. It was pretty frustrating for a while, trying to figure out the chords in F#!! But finally, I got it!

So a song a day keeps the bad ear away.

P.S. I heard a great song on this new Disney movie I watched called The Wild (Seki, you might like it, CG). The song was by Lifehouse, called: Good Enough. Go listen to it. Or maybe here.

Russell Peters, everyone!

Ok, just so I can share the laughs and the fun with you...here's some Russell Peters news.

I just watched Russell Peters - Outsourced, a new DVD he's released I think.
Anyway, he's a comedian, one that plays on accents and nationalities. If you've seen his famous clip on the internet you know what I'm talking about.

If you want some more laughs (and you know what bittorrent is), go here.

That's all folks!

My new toy

This is not really true to the time I bought it; I've had it for about a week now, but its still so cool.

I have become part of the iPod cult. I bought a 30GB iPod video last week for around $370AUD (cheap?). Its soo cool. I can listen to music when I'm walking around now, which is heaps in Japan. Haha! And I've discovered the world of podcasts, and started first with Happy Tree Friends, hahaha! 'Tis great. :)

Anyway, a big congrats to the beatBouncrs back home...I just saw your comp video, was cool! Except I saw two guys at the end who looked like different dudes. Donno what that was about. Anyway, keep doing what you doing. It's awesome to hear God's blessing all you guys and doing so much back home. So much stuff is going on back home, but life is pretty cruisy and stress-free here. Though it does make me feel like I'm missing out...

I miss all you guys back home. Take care!
