The goings-on...
The past ten days have been a little uneventful.
The usual has been happening...except for that I went to a Brand New Heavies concert with Geoff! Was really really good, its been a long time since I've been to see live music, or see 'a live', as they say in Japan. Listening to jazz fusion/funk has gotta be the best for me, possibly even more than watching a huge R&B artist. Anyway, N'Dia Davenport's voice is incredible. The stage presence of all the performers was awesome. And it was a nice small area...don't really know how to describe it. If the room was full, standing...it'd fit, maybe about 1000-2000? But it wasn't so crowded because it wasn't advertised in the normal foreigner sources, according to Geoff. Anyway, was cool. Seki, they played Brother Sister! Brings back memories, doesn't it? The bass player for some reason reminded me of Vic...hahaha! He wore a really tight pink lycra shirt with a massive V, and a black velvet suit over it until it got too hot, and with big goggle sunnies. Really cool.
Anyway, since then...I've been going to church. I might play at church next month depending on how much I'm needed, coz right now there's a shortage of keyboard players in the church. So that's kinda exciting. You know, I really, really miss worship leading. BUT! That's not a plea to be put on the schedule every week...please. But truthfully, I do miss serving in church a lot, and using what God's given me. Can't wait to be back. Anyway, had a good day today at church. A new pastor to the church (from Hawaii), Pastor Ted, spoke about evangelising, but just bringing it into our normal part of our lives. Small steps to make sure we're being effective as evangelising...really great message. I love being at church, maybe more so than ever before! Hahaha, anyway work is the same as usual. It's probably gonna be a little bit hard leaving, because I do teach a lot of the same students, I'll miss them a lot too.
Ok, two big paragraphs is enough for now. Still trying to work out this photo thing...I wanna show you guys Kyoto. I'm a good photographer! j/k
