In the Nash: 25 June 2006

I just had one of the best holidays I will ever have. And now I'm writing it again because I accidentally closed down Firefox. Anyway, I went to Singapore for Tim and Min's wedding, which was soo awesome; now I'm stuck back in Japan and missing everyone terribly in Singapore and Melbourne. Ok, this blog WILL be long, but I'll try and be quick about it. Let me just say, the three full days I spent in S'pore felt like 2 weeks, just because I was out and about the entire time so it was pretty draining but worth every minute. I also seriously lost my voice, surprised I could actually sing for the wedding!

Anyway, here's how the holiday went down:
Wednesday 2:00pm - Finished work at Nova. Left immediately for the airport.
Wednesday 6:45pm - Flew out from Japan, headed to Singapore.
Thursday 1:00am - Met up with Tim and Joel, and went for makan straight away. Slept at about 3:00am.
Thursday 12:00pm - Met Andrew, my brother, Joel and Tim for more makan around Orchard, (I didn't forget the bah kuh teh, just don't know where it was!!) Old Changkee and in Takashimaya for some kaya goodness!!
Thursday 5:30pm - Got back to Tim's for some much needed napping. Although to my memory it was extremely short.
Thursday 8:00pm - Went out for Tim's Buck's Night!!! WOOHOO! Nice Mediterranean restaurant....mmm...very nice. Then 4 Floors of...I forget. And then met with the girls at Loof. Partied harder at Butter Factory (Arthur's literal 2nd home, and completely empty on a Thursday night at 1:00am), where much drunkeness and vomiting resulted.
Friday 3:00-4:00am - Got to Theo's to watch the last 20 minutes of Australia vs. Croatia!!! Then crashed hard.
Friday 9:00am - Woke up. Shouldn't have. Could've definitely used more sleep. Though there were a couple who did go to work (you're absolute machines, Faye/Arthur!) today but most took the day off. In fact, Theo really "took the day off" by waking up at 7:00pm. Anyway, went for Katong chicken rice (boneless is best).
Friday 4:00pm - Went to visit Dad and some relatives in Tampines. Had a good catch-up.
Friday 6:00pm - Dinner at Tim's house for close friends and family commenced. The weight-loss competition between Theo and Joel came to an infamous end, with photos and videos to show there was absolutely no clothes....!! Wait...I mean...cheating. (Email me for requests, hahahaha)
Friday 11:30pm - Went to Faye's house with Joel to just hang out while the bridesmaids and groomsmen practised their song for Tim and Min. Learnt all about the 'F-position'. :D
Saturday 2:30am - Got back to Theo's from Faye's and slept.
Saturday 7:30am - Woke up to get ready for the wedding!!
Saturday 8:30am - Got to the wedding venue (Church of Ascension - St. Andrew's Village), practised with the worship crew. Wedding started around 10am.
Saturday 1:00pm - Started taking photos. Well, I was just video-camering for fun. Took photos around the church, before quickly taking shelter under the frickin' heat! Moved to the Esplanade to take some photos in Haagen-Dazs and Harry's.
Saturday 5:00pm - Went back to the Hilton suite where the bride and groom were staying; we just chilled and fell asleep. Actually, I used the bathroom...Min's bathroom :)
Saturday 7:15pm - Went to the banquet area to prep up for the wedding reception. Officially it started at 8:00pm. Was an awesome night, but I didn't really eat much. Ran around a lot and did some videoing of some of the speeches and stuff.
Sunday 12:30am - After breaking up from the wedding reception, headed over to a bar to watch the soccer, but unfortunately it was well over. Quickly moved on to Butter Factory (packed). I need to stop here and say JANICE: THANK YOU SOO MUCH!! YOU'RE SOO HELPFUL AND SUCH A GREAT FRIEND!! Faye too, thanks for the T-shirt!
Sunday 1:30am - Got dancing at the Butter Factory, but it was short-lived for me, I had to leave for the airport at 3:30am.
Sunday 6:00am - Left Singapore, very alone, and missing everyone terribly.
Sunday 3:00pm - Landed back in Japan.

Ok, so that sums it up for me. Complain about it being long, but that's how it all went down for me. And I don't really wanna forget any details of this holiday, coz it was simply awesome. Photos.
