Massive coincidence!

Firstly, this is Sunday night, not Monday night!

This is really weird, but was great as well. Today (after work) I went to Jody's farewell; she's off to Italy to do another English teaching job. Had to get to Kawasaki which takes a good 30-40 minutes from Tsunashima. And it was hot! Outside. I've never sweated so much, even though there was a nice breeze out.

So it was in an izakaya, and there were about 15 of us. But there were two Nova students who I recognised, but couldn't quite place it. Now, these are people that Jody invited...so absolutely no relation to me.

The massive coincidence is that these two students were in the very, very, very first class I taught (semi-taught) in Japan! I did my training in Kawasaki, and these students belong to the Kawasaki Nova branch. And one of the first parts of training (OJT) was to do half a lesson (20 mins). I still remembered their faces, and they remembered me! Unbelievable coincidence! But was great. Found out that one of the students got married in July (to a very pretty Japanese woman), told him what I've been doing in Japan (not much, hahahaha), etc. Was a good night in all. The izakaya had some private rooms, so we were in one of them and they had a karaoke system as well, so people who were slightly intoxicated were taking on all kinds of songs, in all kinds of tunes. Very jarring! No photos, unfortunately.
